Gucci is set to return to its roots with the highly anticipated Cruise 2026 show, paying homage to the city where it all began. The luxury brand, alongside creative director Sabato De Sarno, will present the “Gucci Firenze” collection in Florence next spring, celebrating the city’s deep connection to Gucci’s heritage since its founding in 1921.
This show will mark De Sarno’s second cruise collection for the brand, following the buzzworthy debut at London’s Tate Modern last May, which saw A-listers like Dua Lipa, Demi Moore, and the Moss family gracing the front row. Though the exact location in Florence remains under wraps, the brand’s history with the city runs deep. From the original leather goods store opened by Guccio Gucci on Via della Vigna Nuova to the modern Gucci ArtLab in Scandicci, Florence represents the heart of the brand’s craftsmanship and vision.
Gucci’s decision to spotlight Florence aligns with its tradition of honoring the past while embracing contemporary creativity, reaffirming the maison’s ongoing influence on luxury fashion and Italian culture.
