How Hugh Jackman Turned a Concert Mistake Into Motivation

Hugh Jackman Practices Jump Rope Routine After NYC Concert Mistake

Hugh Jackman @thehughjackman isn’t just about singing and acting—he’s also perfecting his jump rope skills! The 56-year-old shared a fun Instagram video on January 26, showing himself practicing a tricky routine in the gym.

The video comes after Hugh admitted he messed up the routine during the opening night of his From New York, with Love concert at Radio City Music Hall. “So here’s the thing… my trainer Beth Lewis and I worked for months to get me even close to being ready for this jump rope choreo on stage,” he wrote in the caption.

Even though the performance didn’t go perfectly, Hugh didn’t let it get him down. “I still messed up, but I had a blast,” he said, adding that he’s looking forward to performing the routine another 21 times!

Hugh’s Training Behind the Scenes

In the Instagram clip, Hugh looks relaxed but focused as he jumps rope in the gym. Wearing a sweat-drenched tank top and shorts, he flawlessly performs different moves. From switching the rope side to side to crossing his arms mid-jump, Hugh shows off his energy and determination.

He even ends the routine with a fun flourish, spinning the rope and wrapping it around his arms. Fans loved seeing this behind-the-scenes moment, with one follower commenting, “Even when you mess up, you’re amazing!”

Dedication to His Craft

This moment is just another example of Hugh’s dedication to his performances. Whether he’s singing a ballad from Les Misérables or pulling off a Broadway-worthy routine, he always gives 110%.

“Training for this concert has been one of the most rewarding challenges,” Hugh said. It’s clear he’s putting in the work to make his From New York, with Love concert series unforgettable.

Why Fans Love Hugh’s Approach

Hugh’s positive attitude and sense of humor make him so relatable. Instead of focusing on the mistake, he embraced the moment and kept going. His energy and commitment to improvement are part of what makes him such a beloved performer.

“I love performing live. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about giving it everything you’ve got,” Hugh shared.
