Juozas Statkevicius has once again proven that fashion’s greatest muses are the moments that shape our daily lives. His Spring/Summer 2025 collection, showcased at Paris Fashion Week, draws on the most unexpected sources of inspiration—childhood memories, fleeting glimpses of passersby, and the endless cultural richness of Paris itself. Each look speaks to a life lived in the fast lane, where timeless elegance meets the practicalities of modernity.
The 48 silhouettes sent down the runway were an ode to understated sophistication. Subtle shades of gray, paired with the occasional burst of red, formed a palette that evoked cinematic memories of old black-and-white films. This monochromatic minimalism wasn’t without complexity, however. With each look, a delicate shift in detail—a cut, a drape, a seam—transformed the garments, creating something refreshingly new yet undeniably familiar.
The influence of Lithuanian culture and Nordic touches were ever-present in the collection’s architectural shapes and well-chosen volumes. These are clothes for the woman who never stops—pieces designed to carry her from the morning rush to an evening soiree. Statkevičius’ genius lies in his ability to create garments that are both simple and striking, casual yet imbued with a subtle sparkle that lends itself to moments of festivity.
A sense of sustainable luxury also pervaded the show. The giant mandala that adorned the center of the runway—a symbol of cosmic harmony and rebirth—was crafted from fabric scraps used in the collection, a nod to the fashion industry’s evolving focus on sustainability. With this thoughtful gesture, Statkevičius reminded us that fashion, like life, is cyclical.
At its core, this collection is for women who embrace every facet of their being: romantic, serious, fun, free, inaccessible, and sometimes provocative. In every scenario, Statkevicius offers them one unifying trait—elegance that transcends time.
