Rihanna Celebrates a Sober 2024 with Excitement for 2025

Rihanna Goes Sober: “New Year, New Me”

Rihanna Celebrates Sober 2024 with Excitement for 2025.

Rihanna @badgalriri, who promised herself to quit drinking by the New Year’s Day of 2024, moves into the new chapter of her life having already achieved that target. This was proclaimed by the Fenty founder in a now viral Instagram post where she stated that day, New Year’s Day of 2025, as an important milestone in her life.

Fast forward to December 31, 2024, Rihanna picked up a friend and showed them the Times Square Ball drop via her phone so that they could countdown to the new year together. Once the ball had dropped, Rihanna exclaimed to her friends “Yall I did not drink the whole year!” “I did not drink the whole year!”

She largely maintained the same tone while captioning a picture with “New Year New Me” which not only told her viewers about her new stint and me, but also her ambitions for 2025 and beyond.

As a result, she was flooded with comments as supporters told how amazing her dedication to sobriety was and that she was a role model for them. As such, the singer was as much “inspiring” as she was about breaking boundaries, again, being able to trendshift from music to fitness.

Perhaps due to her ability to appear deep and witty, Rihanna made the common but great remark saying how people out there sometimes forget the best changes occur on the inside.

The star kept the mood light by saying “New Year, New Me,” adding a bit of both, a reminiscence and a glimpse into the future as well.

“Y’all, I didn’t drink all year! I didn’t drink all year.”
