EENK Fall/Winter 2025: The Bookish Runway Surprise

EENK AW25 at Paris Fashion Week: A Bold Book of Style

When EENK @eenk_official unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025 collection at the Saut du Loup in Palais de Tokyo, Paris, the atmosphere was electric. From the moody remix of Shin Joong-hyun’s classic “He Is Leaving” by sound designer PILOOSKI to the eye-catching silhouettes on display, this show was all about the art of “Binding”–the brand’s latest seasonal theme. Below, I’ll take you through the highlights, give a bit of background on EENK and its visionary director Hyemee Lee, and share why their Paris Fashion Week @parisfashionweek appearance left everyone talking.

The Brand: EENK’s Story and Designer Hyemee Lee

EENK is a Korean fashion label led by the talented creative director Hyemee Lee, who is known for integrating different cultures and eras into her designs. The brand’s concept focuses on merging conflicting elements—new and ancient, East and West, conceptual and commercial. With each of her collection, EENK selects an alphabetical keyword and goes deeper into it using shapes, details, and materials.

The season’s keywords are “B for Binding.”Inspired by the concept of how words work together to tell a story, EENK’s new collection reimagines how fabrics, colors, and shapes may work together to create a cohesive narrative. It shows Hyemee Lee’s ability to create pieces that are both timeless and experimental.

The EENK Fall/Winter 2025 Runway Show & Collection Highlights

EENK had its sixth standalone runway show on March 7 at 4 p.m. in Paris. The Saut du Loup, housed within the Palais de Tokyo, provided an unforgettable backdrop. Long-time colleagues stylist Malina Joseph Gilchrist and sound designer PILOOSKI reunited to ensure that every detail was properly matched with EENK’s concept.

B for Binding

The show’s focal point was the concept of binding, much like how sheets of paper join to create a book. EENK views each garment as a vessel for multiple cultures, eras, and stories—kind of like pages bound together to reveal a unified theme. Clothes that gave us a sense of movement and depth, recalling of flipping the pages of a favorite book.

Kimsooja’s Cosmic Influence

Hyemee Lee also found inspiration in the work of conceptual artist Kimsooja, particularly her installation To Breathe – Constellation. This influence appeared in pieces such like:

  • Celestial-Printed Dresses: Consider modest star patterns and galaxy-inspired colors.
  • Structured Silhouettes: Layers of fabric woven together like a cosmic tapestry.
  • Knotted Details: Bags and outfits with elaborate knots pay tribute to both traditional Korean aesthetics and Kimsooja’s obsession with thread and needle.

The Grand Finale

The show ended on a high note with PILOOSKI’s special remix of “He Is Leaving.” The melancholic tune reverberated through the venue, adding an emotional undercurrent to the collection’s finale. As the models walked their final

Why EENK Stood Out

  1. Rich Layering: Just like a captivating story, EENK’s outfits had layers—literally. Shirts fused with jackets, dress silhouettes that resembled billowing book pages, and knotted fabrics that looked both edgy and romantic.
  2. Modern vs. Traditional: References to Korean heritage were balanced with contemporary shapes, bridging multiple fashion worlds into a single garment.
  3. A Thematic Journey: Everything from the music to the set design tied back to the concept of “Binding.” Nothing felt out of place or accidental.

My Personal Take

As someone who loves fashion that shares a story, I found EENK’s approach really refreshing. The “B for Binding” concept may sound abstract, but seeing it come to life on the runway made it feel tangible—and extremely fashionable. I admired how some gowns moved like turning pages, full of poetic drama, while others had structured lines reminiscent of a clean hardcover book.

If you’re into labels that combine artistic depth with everyday wearability, EENK is definitely one to watch. It’s not just about pretty clothes—it’s about feeling part of a narrative that spans cultures, time periods, and creative disciplines.

Fashion is an open book—each stitch adds another page to its story.
