Victoria Unikel joins powerhouse roster of contemporary artists in one of the week’s most talked-about showcases
Art Basel Miami 2025 brought no shortage of glamorous events, but few delivered the artistic gravitas of Amarna Gallery’s fine art exhibition at the historic Moore Club. The invitation-only showcase featured a compelling collection of works by five exceptional artists: Diogo Snow, Roman Feral, Karen Bystedt, Margarita Howis, and Victoria Unikel—offering collectors and art enthusiasts a distinctive, museum-level presentation within an intimate private setting.
Amarna Gallery: Where Contemporary Art Meets Collector Vision
Amarna Gallery has rapidly established itself as one of Miami’s most dynamic contemporary art spaces, known for representing artists who challenge conventional boundaries and spark meaningful dialogue through their work. Founded by visionaries Jeniya Penrod and Damian Perrone, the gallery brings an unparalleled combination of expertise to Miami’s contemporary art scene.
Jeniya Penrod, honored with a Presidential Award for her dedication to various charitable causes, has built a reputation for curating exclusive, high-impact experiences that connect discerning clients with rare art and investment opportunities. The gallery’s hand-selected roster represents contemporary and collectible artists, each bringing a distinct artistic voice and vision to the global stage.
The Artists: Five Distinctive Voices in Contemporary Art
Victoria Unikel: Activist Art With a Golden Touch
Award-winning contemporary painter and mixed media artist Victoria Unikel joined Amarna Gallery’s prestigious roster in October 2025, marking a significant milestone for both the internationally acclaimed artist and the gallery. Known for her versatility and provocative works displayed in galleries since 2008, Unikel has been featured in Forbes, Daily Mail, Mirror, New York Post, L’Officiel, and many others.
Her body of work addresses today’s most pressing social issues through powerful activist collections including MONEY, WAR, and GENDER, with an upcoming mixed media collection titled DIAMONDS. Using extravagant materials including real gold and precious metals, her pieces go beyond mere aesthetics, telling bold stories of opulence and ambition.
Unikel is also the founder of the Trancerealism movement, in which artists create their works through a channeling connection with the Universe, bringing a unique spiritual dimension to contemporary art practice. Her commitment to social causes has earned her recognition from prestigious institutions, including the top art award at the MOSAIC Federation Gala at New York’s Cipriani for her efforts in the battle against human trafficking.
Beyond the canvas, Unikel’s influence extends across multiple creative disciplines. She is currently starring in and producing Exorcista, a paranormal, horror, and true crime historical show. The multi-talented artist co-founded the VUGA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting emerging contemporary artists and promoting equality, justice, and peace through the arts and entertainment. The foundation has entered into a strategic alliance with Amarna Gallery.
Diogo Snow: The Celebrity Favorite
Brazilian-Canadian artist Diogo Snow (born Diogo Neves) brings together urban energy and contemporary artistry in works that have captured the attention of global icons. His clientele reads like a who’s who of entertainment: Drake, Neymar Jr., Justin and Hailey Bieber, Megan Thee Stallion, Floyd Mayweather, Dwyane Wade, and Ronaldinho.
Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, now based in Toronto, D-Snow uses a distinctive mix of spray paint, acrylics, diamond dust, prints, and resin to create layered compositions that challenge genre boundaries. His signature aesthetic, “Pink Punk,” features a cartoonish pink mohawk as both brand logo and art symbol.
His large-scale murals can be seen in restaurants across the world, and he’s been commissioned for high-profile projects including a mural inside the Picasso Mansion in Miami Beach. In 2022, he created exclusive merchandise for “The Beautiful Game,” a celebrity soccer match at David Beckham’s Inter Miami stadium, where he played alongside legends like Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, and Vini Jr.
Roman Feral: The Butterfly Magician
Parisian artist Roman Feral has earned international acclaim for his mesmerizing fusion of luxury and nature. Born in 1990, he transforms iconic luxury brands with one of nature’s most delicate beauties: preserved butterflies.
In the manner of a true alchemist, Feral captures the feeling of refinement and precious essence of hand-picked luxury icons—Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Cartier, Goyard—positioning butterflies in a state of flight to create an illusion of a perpetual journey. His technique transforms the ephemeral into the timeless.
Feral exhibited his first collection at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2018, immediately drawing international attention. His recognition by major luxury houses reached its pinnacle when Chanel acquired his sculpture “Coffre Chanel Azur”for its private collection and heritage. In 2020, he achieved a groundbreaking milestone by encasing a swarm of butterflies in bronze—a process requiring 90 hours of meticulous hand-polishing.
Karen Bystedt: The Woman Who Photographed Warhol
Karen Bystedt brings an extraordinary piece of art history to Amarna Gallery’s roster. In 1982, as a tenacious young film student at NYU, she cold-called Andy Warhol at Interview Magazine and convinced the legendary artist to pose for her book of male models.
The resulting images—36 frames capturing a rare, vulnerable Warhol—were placed in storage and subsequently lost until 2011, when Bystedt rediscovered ten surviving negatives. After a meticulous restoration process, she conceptualized “The Lost Warhols“—a series of mixed-media collaborations with contemporary street and fine artists who reinterpret her portraits in their own artistic language.
The Lost Warhols collection has been featured in The Andy Warhol Museum, Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art in Oslo, and the private collections of Prince Andrew of Monaco and the Hearst Foundation. Bystedt has photographed film stars and rock icons including Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Drew Barrymore, Eddie Van Halen, and Jon Bon Jovi, and her images have appeared in Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair, and dozens of other publications.
Margarita Howis: Emotion in Motion
Russian-born artist Margarita Howis is a creative rebel with a background in architecture. Her work captures emotion in motion on canvas, influenced by observing cultural differences and perspectives on authenticity, women’s rights, and societal expectations.
Through her experiences across different cultures, Howis has come to understand the ways in which society shapes our understanding of ourselves and our place in the world. Her paintings serve as visual explorations of these themes, creating works that resonate with collectors who appreciate art that speaks to the human condition.
A Defining Art Basel Miami Moment
The exhibition at The Moore Club drew an influential audience of art collectors, luxury tastemakers, media figures, and industry leaders from across fashion, entertainment, hospitality, and business—underscoring the event’s status as a premier Art Basel destination.
This showcase solidified Amarna Gallery’s position as a leading force in Miami’s contemporary art scene, demonstrating its commitment to representing artists who push boundaries and create meaningful dialogue through their work. The gallery’s focus on contemporary and collectible art continues to attract a growing collector base seeking investment-quality pieces from artists at the forefront of today’s art world.
