Stephane Rolland SS25: Where Art Meets Fashion

Stephane Rolland: A Designer of Elegance and Simplicity

Stephane Rolland @stephanerolland_paris is known for his bold, sculptural designs and clean, elegant lines. Since launching his fashion house, he has redefined haute couture with dramatic shapes, luxurious fabrics, and precise craftsmanship. His collections are more than just fashion—they are wearable art.

On January 28, 2025, during Haute Couture Week, Rolland presented his Spring/Summer 2025 collection, “Origins”. Inspired by two great artists—Joséphine Baker and Constantin Brancusi—this collection is a tribute to freedom, movement, and pure form.

“Origins” – A Tribute to Visionary Artists

“Origins” – A Tribute to Visionary Artists

“Origins” is not just about fashion. It is a celebration of creativity and expression. Rolland was inspired by Joséphine Baker, a dancer who changed the way people saw movement, and Constantin Brancusi, a sculptor who transformed shapes into something new and abstract.

Both artists broke the rules and redefined their art. Rolland brings their spirit of freedom into his designs, creating a collection that feels modern yet timeless. The strong shoulders, flowing lines, and rich textures reflect both Baker’s grace and Brancusi’s clean, bold forms.

Runway Highlights

🔹 Sculptural Shapes

  • Bold shoulders and sharp cuts inspired by Brancusi’s sculptures.
  • Flowing gowns and capes that capture the elegance of Baker’s dance.

🔹 Luxurious Fabrics & Textures

  • White crepe cape dresses and black satin tuxedos for a classic, timeless look.
  • Chiffon gowns embroidered with ebony and crystal, shimmering with every movement.
  • Leather tops with cut-out designs and pleated organza skirts for texture and contrast.

🔹 The Beauty of Transparency

  • Sheer fabrics that move with the body, just like Baker did on stage.

🔹 Natural and Metallic Elements

  • Feathers, wood, and metal details bring an artistic edge.
  • Burned feathers on satin vests create a striking effect.
  • Silver lamé fabrics and wood embroidery pay tribute to Brancusi’s work.
  • Golden chestplates inspired by his famous sculpture, The Bird.

What Makes Stephane Rolland’s Couture Special?

Stephane Rolland’s couture is defined by:

  • Bold Minimalism – Pure lines, sculptural elegance, and modern sophistication.
  • Fluidity & Structure – A balance of sharp tailoring and flowing movement.
  • Artistic Influence – Inspired by architecture, sculpture, and history’s greatest visionaries.

Every piece is crafted with the highest level of savoir-faire, proving why Rolland remains one of Paris’ most respected couturiers.

Why “Origins” Stands Out

Rolland doesn’t follow trends—he creates timeless fashion. With Origins, he merges fashion, movement, and sculpture, proving that couture is more than just clothing—it is a form of artistic expression.

This collection cements his legacy as a designer who turns fabric into sculpture, movement into elegance, and history into modern beauty.

“Fashion is movement. Like dance, it tells a story.” – Stephane Rolland
