DUMEBI Opens First Paris Boutique During Fashion Week

London-based designer Barbara Biosah has opened her first Parisian location for DUMEBI during Paris Fashion Week, marking the brand’s expansion into the French market.

During Paris Fashion Week, DUMEBI launched its new boutique on Boulevard Malesherbes in the 8th arrondissement. The opening featured “This Is DUMEBI” — a presentation showcasing pieces from the label’s previous collections.

The boutique space combines a retail environment with plans to develop into a made-to-measure atelier. Located in one of Paris’s established fashion districts, the venue hosted the brand’s first official Fashion Week event in the city.

The opening also served to raise awareness for sickle cell disease through the Gideon’s Treasure Foundation, combining the boutique launch with charitable advocacy.

Barbara Biosah established DUMEBI in London, where the brand has showcased collections over the past few years. The label built its reputation through presentations at London Fashion Week before expanding to Paris.

The collection presented at the opening features DUMEBI’s characteristic style: bold colors, hand embroidery, and mixed textures. The designs incorporate ethnic and Caribbean influences alongside elements like lace and velvet.

Biosah’s work focuses on feminine silhouettes with detailed craftsmanship, including hand-stitched embellishments and layered fabric combinations.

DUMEBI intends to expand its Paris operations beyond retail, developing the Boulevard Malesherbes location into an atelier offering bespoke and made-to-measure services. This would complement the brand’s existing London base while establishing a presence in the French market.

DUMEBI’s boutique is located on Boulevard Malesherbes in Paris’s 8th arrondissement. The space showcases collections from the London-based label and plans to offer made-to-measure services.
