Louise Trotter Joins Bottega Veneta After Departure from Carven

Bottega Veneta Welcomes Louise Trotter as Creative Director.

In a seismic shift in the fashion world, Louise Trotter @louise_trotter_ has been named the new Creative Director of Bottega Veneta, marking the end of her tenure at Carven. Trotter steps into the Milan-based house following Matthieu Blazy’s departure, as speculation swirls about his rumored move to Chanel.

Kering, the parent company of Bottega Veneta, expressed enthusiasm for Trotter’s appointment, praising her meticulous craftsmanship and innovative vision. “Louise brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to Bottega Veneta’s tradition of bold creativity,” said Francesca Bellettini, Kering’s Deputy CEO.

Trotter, known for her transformative stints at Joseph and Lacoste, shared her excitement: “The House’s storied legacy of artistry and innovation is truly inspiring, and I am excited to contribute to its future.” Her arrival is expected to usher in a new era of modern relevance for Bottega Veneta.

Meanwhile, Carven acknowledged Trotter’s departure with a heartfelt statement praising her revitalization of the brand. However, the announcement hinted at tensions, as Trotter was absent from their official comments.

This move underscores a period of significant creative upheaval across the industry, with Trotter’s leadership at Bottega Veneta anticipated to drive a fresh chapter of excellence while Blazy’s next steps are eagerly awaited.
